Hush and Whisper Distilling Co.: Where It All Started
Founded by Caleb Clanton, Hush and Whisper Distilling Co. opened its doors in Downtown Bryan with a clear focus: make spirits worth talking about in a space worth visiting.
The location wasn’t chosen by accident. Hush and Whisper calls the historic Varisco Building home, the tallest building in Downtown Bryan and a local landmark since 1948. Before opening the distillery, the building underwent an extensive 2023 renovation, breathing new life into one of Bryan’s most recognizable historic properties. Today, its restored character provides the perfect backdrop for handcrafted spirits, where history and modern distilling come together under one roof.
The distillery operates as a true on-site, grain-to-glass operation. Every step of the journey happens right here:

Original Gin
The flagship. Award-winning, juniper-forward, and layered with citrus, tropical fruit, and herbal notes. The Distillery Tour Experience
Learning about spirits is one thing. Seeing how they’re made is something else entirely. Hush and Whisper offers guided distillery tours that take you through the full production process, led by Certified Bourbon Professionals who know their stuff and love sharing it.

Tours run Thursday through Saturday and last around 45 minutes. No prior knowledge is required.
